Suno vs Treblo

Sonauto is now Treblo, a free song generator with no credits. How it compares with Suno v6 on cost, downloads, rights and editing, and when the free option is the right one.

Last checked October 27, 2026 against each company’s own pricing and terms pages. We build Session Sheet, a prompt tool for Suno; we aren’t affiliated with Suno or any tool on this page.

Short answer

Treblo, formerly Sonauto, is the best free place to sketch songs. Generation is unlimited, there are no credits, it has extend, inpainting and stems, and it places no restrictions of its own on use. Suno costs money and caps downloads, but gives you more control, longer songs, custom models and published commercial terms.

Sonauto rebranded as Treblo; sonauto.ai now redirects to treblo.com. The model is called Melodia v3, and the pitch is simple: unlimited songs, free, no credits, no daily limits, on the web, iOS and Android.

Why that matters if you use Suno

Most of the frustration with Suno's plans is about rerolls. Free Suno gives 50 credits a day on v6-mini and no downloads; Pro gives 20 downloads a month. If it takes you eight takes to find a keeper, you're spending credits on the seven you don't keep.

A free, unlimited tool changes the maths for the sketching stage. Try lyric ideas, test whether a hook works sung, rough out a structure, and save your Suno credits for the takes you've already planned.

What Treblo has

Custom lyrics, extend, inpainting (redo part of a song), and stem separation. Treblo says it places no usage restrictions on what you make, and that "whatever rights may exist" in the songs belong to you. That's honest wording: no AI tool can promise your song is copyrightable.

What isn't published: a maximum song length, audio upload, or anything about training data. If those matter to you, ask Treblo before you rely on it.

What Suno has that Treblo doesn't

A Styles field and Exclude that give precise control over the sound, cued section headers the model follows, up to eight minutes a generation, Cover, Replace Section, Voices, custom models trained on your own tracks, Studio on Premier, and published terms for commercial use (paid plans, songs downloaded within the allowance, remixes excluded). Suno also says v6 was trained on licensed material from Warner, BMG and Believe.

A workflow that uses both

  1. Sketch the hook and the chorus on Treblo until it sings well.
  2. Run the lyrics through the free lyric checker to tidy line lengths, repeats and clichés.
  3. Write the Styles in Suno's order (our genre prompts give you a starting point for 90 genres) and generate the final takes on Suno v6.

The bottom line

If cost is the problem, Treblo is the answer for sketching and maybe for finished songs too. If control and published rights are the priority, Suno is still the more complete tool.
