Suno vs Boomy

Boomy makes quick tracks and distributes them for you; Suno makes full songs from detailed prompts. What each costs, what you can download, and which suits releasing.

Last checked October 27, 2026 against each company’s own pricing and terms pages. We build Session Sheet, a prompt tool for Suno; we aren’t affiliated with Suno or any tool on this page.

Short answer

Boomy is the fastest way from nothing to a track on streaming services. Generation is one click and distribution is built in. Suno takes more effort and gives far more control: your lyrics, a vocal, a section plan, and edits. Most people who care how the song sounds will outgrow Boomy.

Boomy was one of the first AI music tools with distribution built in. You pick a style, it makes a track, and, on a paid plan, you can send it to streaming services without signing up with a separate distributor.

Plans

  • Free: 25 saves, no downloads.
  • $9.99 a month (shown as a discount off $14.99): 500 saves, 25 WAV downloads a month, permission to distribute to streaming services.
  • $29.99 a month (shown as a discount off $39.99): unlimited saves, 250 WAV downloads.

Boomy doesn't publish song length, revenue share or ownership terms on its pricing page, so read its terms before you release.

How Suno differs

Suno is the opposite trade: more input, more control. You write the lyrics, the Styles (genre, tempo, vocal, drums, bass, arrangement, ending) and the Exclude list, and v6 follows them. Paid plans start at $8 a month billed yearly, with 20 downloads a month and commercial use for songs downloaded within that allowance. Suno doesn't distribute for you. You use a distributor that accepts AI-assisted music and declare it as AI-assisted.

Who should pick which

  • Boomy: quick instrumental-style tracks, the simplest route to a streaming release, no prompt writing.
  • Suno: songs with your words and a voice, built to a brief. If writing the brief is the part that puts you off, our genre prompts give you a working Styles field for 90 genres to start from.
